Gritech Engineeing was established in 1995 to build specialist scientific equipment for the University of Cambridge and some of the countries top teaching hospitals. Shown left is the O2 electrode unit that started Gritech Engineering, this then spawned a whole range of similar products, the brief was to create rugged, reliable and easy to maintain equipment, we still hold true to this concept today.
We now have a premises on the outskirts of Sheffield right in the centre of the UK. Since those early days of the nineties we have diversified into many Electrical and electronic disciplines.
We have many years of electrical panel design and wiring experience. We can carry out panel wiring in our own workshop or at you premises.
We have a solid 40 years of Electronics design including analog, embedded control, sensor interface and power conversion. We have projects operating within renewable energy, automotive and marine craft.
We offer a wide range of printed circuit board design ranging from single to 14 layer. We can hand assemble boards and reflow solder surface mount boards in house.
We have some excelent sheet metal fabrication skills inhouse using aluminium or steel. This allows us to make our own bespoke enclosures for our prototypes.
We have the ability to program many AVR microcontrollers for a range of projects from battery chargers to TFT displays. Our focus is always on delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
We specialise in building one off prototype systems, shown is a 305AH ruggedized battery for overland expeditions.
We can build single or batches of many types of bespoke power cables for high current DC and solar applications using hydraulic crimping.
We can build single or batches of many types of bespoke signal and data cables,
all cables are thoroughly tested in house before being shipped.
